About company
The FFRO ONLUS -Fondazione Firenze Radiotherapy Oncologica- was founded in 1988 at the request of patients and on the initiative of some Doctors and Professors of the Department of Oncological Radiotherapy of the Careggi Hospital-University of Florence .
Right from the start, the Foundation's main motivation was to respond to the needs of cancer patients and the ward by supporting care activities in their care and promoting scientific research.
For over 30 years, FFRO has been working alongside cancer patients with two main objectives:
Make the therapeutic path of patients as comfortable and welcoming as possible.
Support scientific activity aiming to promote clinical and basic research through the development of scientific studies at national and international level.
The concreteness and constant commitment have always accompanied the Foundation in its activity. We have already done a lot, but thanks to your support we can continue to do all this and even more.
Since 2020, in the person of Lorenzo Gori, FFRO has been part of the CDA of the ISPRO Foundation (Institute for the study, prevention and oncology network ).
