Barakat Optical, UAE, specializes in optical and hearing care products, with activities covering retail and distribution. It is the exclusive distributor of Signia Audiology Technique in the UAE, and Saudi Arabia. It is, as well, the exclusive distributor of Takubomatic Edging Machines, Morel Eye Wear, Henry Jullien, Stepper Eyewear, Zeiss Eyewear and Coopervision Soft contact lenses, in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain.
In 2005, Barakat Hearing Care (Division of Barakat Optical) became the supplier of Signia Hearing Aids to SEHA, Abu Dhabi, and has been the accredited supplier for the Abu Dhabi run hospitals ever since.
Barakat Optical is the only optical chain in the UAE that can deliver single vision lenses within 30 minutes. This express service has won Barakat Optical the prestigous award of Retail Me in 2008, for best customer service initiative of the year. In 2009, Barakat Optical won the Best Service Performance Outlet award granted by Dubai Economic Department. In 2011, Barakat Optical was appointed as RTA Trusted Agent. The new service allows the motorists of Dubai, to renew their driving licenses at any of Barakat Optical outlets.
Currently, Barakat Optical operates 11 outlets and is planning to expand further and operate 13 outlets by the year 2020 in the UAE.
